Apple have a relentless product cycle with new models and the latest upgrades emerging all the time. Ultimately this means that the older models need to be moved on to make way for the newly cherished version. We decided to take a look at the prices on offer from the mobile recycling companies at the time of writing (5th May 2010).

Mopay – Offering £85.00 Cash for a working version, or £25.50 if not working.
Mazuma – Offering £90.00 Cash.
Envirophone - Offering £90.00.
MobilePhoneBuyer – Offering £110.00 working, £12.00 if faulty.
Ebay – On quick inspection an active auction for a used Apple Iphone 2G 8Gb was currently at £122 with 4 Hours to go.

Looking at the market for selling your Apple Iphone to mobile recycling companies, you can achieve up to the £100 mark at the time of writing this article.  With some effort you may also be able to surpass this with an Ebay listing.

There are various options available if you want to sell your mobile in the UK.

One of the more obvious ones is to list it on Ebay and to sell it second hand there. This can still be problematic given the chance it wont sell, you come across a time waster, or make little cash after fees have been taken into consideration. So what other options are there? Well since mobiles can be recycled or resold abroad, a few companies have appeared who will pay you a price based on which model you have.
